"The releasable plate carrier is a smaller and lower profile body armour carrier specifically designed for carrying hard armour plates over other soft armour vests. Like the RACV, the plate carrier has a heavy duty release cord which is attached to a 25mm strap. This is currently set up on the left hand side for crossdraw pull by the right hand, but can be changed to right hand side for pull by the left hand.

This pouch doubles as a tall utility pouch suitable for certain types of tall magazine, batteries, or fitting to the sides of MOLLE packs and rucksacks when the sport bottle is not inserted. The pouch is fully lined internally to provide some insulation from hot, dusty conditions.

The uniforms are made of tougher NYCO ripstop material which is 50% cotton, 50% nylon. This is a machine-washable blend with quick-drying properties despite being medium to light-weight. This material is the same type as used in the original issue ACU uniforms and is more colourfast, shrinkproof and wrinkle-resistant than the 100% cotton ACUs.
