Starship Troopers: Extermination is a cooperative FPS game with an early access release in early 2023. You and your team will be sent on various missions to liberate planets from the big bad bugs. Squads will have a maximum of 12 players and each player will have to take on a role which will be vital to the offensive efforts:

The teaser video above was released on the 25th anniversary of the Starship Troopers film by Paul Verhoeven which takes inspiration from the book written by Robert Heinlein’s 1959 novel.

Players can choose the different roles whether is assault, support, or defensive roles which many will be familiar with especially those who play Wolfenstein and Battlefield multiplayer coop games. As players move along in their missions, they can use the progression system where they can unlock new equipment, weapons, and perks to increase capability needed for the mission.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is not the first person shooter game based on the novel or movie as there was the 2005 game which is based on the same title and RTS game Starship Troopers: Terran Command which was released in early 2022.
