Smart Shooter, the Israeli company that produces innovative fire control systems, will put on display its new Smash 4X at the Eurosatory Defense and Security event that will take place in Paris on 13-17 June.  Just like the earlier models, the Smash X4 is electro-optical fire control system will give the shooter the first round hit.

Even for beginners, making an accurate hit on target using the Smash system is simple by with a three-step process: acquire, lock and fire. All the shooter just needs do is to pull the trigger when a target has been selected, the system does the rest. For those familiar with the missile targeting systems on fighter jets, the Smash system will make sense to them.

The Smash systems allow for taking out even Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or drones and they can be mounted on rifles such as the AR15s. With the Smash Hopper RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Station), it can also be used remotely and can be mounted on vehicles and sentry systems. They even have the Smash Dragon which is aerial drone that will take out enemy UAVs airborne.

With the Smash X4 the magnification allows for the identification and acquisition of targets and further distances. Shooters can engage ground targets whether mobile and stationary, up to at least 400 metres and can hit micro drones up to an altitude of 200 metres.

The Smash X4 can be used with or without a Laser Rangefinding System(LRF) and is powered by with a rechargeable Li-On battery. The LRF has a range of 1,000 metres. More details on the press release below:

SMART SHOOTER unveils another member of the SMASH Family, the SMASH X4 – a Fire Control System with a x4 magnifying optic scope.

Yagur, 30 May 2022: SMART SHOOTER, a world-class designer, developer, and manufacturer of innovative fire control systems that significantly increase the accuracy and lethality of small arms, will present the SMASH X4, a Fire Control System with a x4 magnifying optic scope, at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris.

SMASH X4 combines a x4 magnifying optic scope with SMART SHOOTER’s SMASH unique fire control capabilities, thus providing extended detection, recognition & identification ranges for the shooter as well as extended lethality ranges. The SMASH X4 also includes an etched reticule to allow shooting without battery power. An optional integrated Laser Range Finder (LRF) enables range measurement both as a user-initiated capability as well as a system input for improved precision. Night-capability is also available by using the X4 with thermal night vision devices as a clip-on.

SMART SHOOTER approves that it has recently completed the delivery of thousands of additional SMASH systems for the IDF and other customers. Deployed and combat-proven, the SMASH family of fire control systems lock on target and ensure precise target elimination of ground, aerial, static or moving targets during day and night operations. Equipped with an onboard computer to perform complex targeting solutions, SMASH enables superior situational awareness and can be operated as a stand-alone solution as well as combined with other systems to provide an effective multi-layer defence solution.
