Now this, Mujahideens Training with Airsoft

Gungho Cowboy

If you welcome stories about the US Army now testing airsoft for pre-deployment training with airsoft, then I wonder if you welcome this next story. It's always both sides of the coin they say, if one can do it, then why not the other? This featured story released by Agence France-Presse (AFP) about Singaporean internet researchers on Islamic extremist websites have found chatter about future Mujahideens using airsoft to train before going against the "infidels".

Though this time, you will not ask graduates of "airsoft combat training"  from both sides to call their hits as they will be using the real thing once deployed to fight for Freedom or Islam. Talk about airsoft role playing before doing the real combat.

Here is the snippet from the AP article:

A group called "Indonesian Airsoft Mujahideen" stepped in and offered to facilitate their training using air rifles and paintball machines, which are widely used for play sessions at corporate training seminars in Asia.

"They would rent the place much like a team-building activity," Nur Azlin said. "They used this training in the meantime that they don't have their AK-47s."
