Mud Gunner tests bot the Piggyback and offset RMR setups, two popular configurations for rifles equipped with magnified optics. A piggyback RMR is mounted directly on top of the magnified optic, providing a quick-acquisition aiming point for close-quarters engagements. An offset RMR is mounted at an angle on the side of the rifle, allowing for rapid transitions between the magnified optic and the red dot without disrupting the cheek weld. The choice between these setups depends on individual shooting style, preferences, and intended use.
