One Grunt's Opinion: "The Fall of GMR"

OptimusPrime

The Grunt of One Grunt's Opinion finaly makes his first opinion and it's about the latest issue involving a well-known airsoft team... "Memorial Day weekend is about reflecting on our fallen heroes that have sacrificed all in defense of our nation. This year's Lion Claws event opened like many have before. Words from veteran soldiers like MSG Mullen and Col McKnight. The national anthem was played and a silent prayer was had. Yet, what was supposed to be another great event ended with the insulting of a living legend and the slithering away of those unable to find enough humility to apologize.

But, first this grunts opinion on Col McKnight. Even before joining the Army I knew who Col McKnight was. He is nothing short of a living legend that once I became a soldier I hoped I would meet. His actions and the actions of his men would inspire many of us to seek the Ranger path. While I never had the privilege of being a Ranger, as an infantryman you always strived to be the best and hold those qualities that make them such amazing soldiers. Col McKnight is the model leader and I would spend my time in the Army hoping to fall under leaders as amazing as him. Since there is no infantryman that doesn't know about Col McKnight, I can safely say that we would all without hesitation follow him into hell any day of the week without hesitation. That is his quality and the respect I hold for him."
