Word is out on the Indiegogo Project of Blacksheep Milsim called the PSTD-Milsim Challenge. This project will try to raise US$250,000 via crowdfunding to fund the event development and the PTSD Awareness Campaign. It is indeed a big amount to raise within 60 days and thus more support is being called for to meet the funding goal.

However, One Grunt's Opinion, already known for his support to PTSD causes, has put out a public statement on why he is not supporting this project:

I have been asked by a few people already and I'm sure guys will start mentioning it to me more that it's live. So I'll just put this out there up front:

I DO NOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT THE NEW PTSD MILSIM CHALLENGE BEING SPEARHEADED BY BLACKSHEEP6 AS IT IS CURRENTLY FRAMED.

I have the highest respect for the Major and his events enjoyed by many across the airsoft community. I look forward to attending a few of his ops this year myself. But I can not agree with money being raised under the flag of PTSD awareness going to finance his events. It is clearly stated in his breakdown that:

"3. $100,000 - Event production equipment - equipment and supplies to provide the experience that provides the benefit nationwide."

A business as successful as his already supposedly providing the best milsim experience should not need funding that could go into research or veterans aid. His business can and should fund itself and without a doctors research or study we can not rush to call events true therapy.

This is my opinion and as far as I know I stand alone publicly. I know this might mean I lose the support of a few of you or maybe even many. But I have too and say what feels right to me. PTSD awareness is a cause I've alway been vocal about and will continue to be.

I hope you all understand and continue to support me. I will continue to support Blacksheep Milsim. I just can not give that support to this program.
