Muddy Reviews: Streamlight TLR1-S Pistol Light

Muddy Reviews checks a pistol light from one of our preferred brands, Streamlight... "Hey everybody welcome to another Muddy review, in this review we are looking at the Streamlight TLR-1s pistol light. I have been using this pistol light for Airsoft and real-world shooting since 2018 and it is my favorite pistol light (currently).

I have a Surefire X300 and that was my go-to light for quite a while until I received the TLR-1s from Streamlight from my wife as a birthday present. She picked it up o. base but if you were interested you can find one here.

I immediately fell in love with the light and especially the strobe functionality. I can honestly say it's an awesome light for Airsoft and duty use as well. There are plenty of duty-capable holsters available for numerous pistol models that accept the TLR-1s light. I have reviewed a holster on the channel that accepts this light which you can see here.

I haven't had an issue to date with using the light in Airsoft games to date without a screen protector on the light but I will probably add one eventually because it is not a matter of if but when the light gets blown out, especially in an indoor game. As far as Airsoft is concerned there are replica TLR-1s lights available that some of my non-US Milsim and Airsoft guys can acquire if they don't want to attempt to acquire a real light.

The Streamlight TLR-1s has a 300 Lumen LED "bulb"? and it uses 2 CR123A batteries. The rear lever is easily actuated and if I had to pick a problem or issue with the TLR-1s it would be the plastic lever on the rear but that isn't really a weakness or issue. The other "Weakness" I could point out would be the lumens as it is only 300 and there are tons of brighter lights out there but this light is plenty bright honestly.

WADSN makes a TLR-1 replica that you can find here on ALIEXPRESS.

I haven't used it but will probably grab one simply to compare to my real one. I will say the replica by WADSN does have a higher Lumen count closer to 1000 vs the real Sreamlights 300 lumens.

I appreciate you stopping in and taking the time to watch this review, I really hope you got something out of this video and review, and hope you check out the rest of my channel. As always take care and I will see you in the next one!"
