Gel Blaster FPS Discussion

JomarX Hobby Shop discusses the controversial practice of pushing gel blasters to high Feet Per Second (FPS), especially in the Philippines where high FPS is standard in airsoft. He argues that exceeding 300 FPS in gel blasters is ineffective and pointless because the gel pellets easily deform at high velocities, leading to a significant loss of accuracy and range, sometimes even disintegrating. The video highlights that the speed difference to hit a target at practical game distances is a negligible matter of milliseconds, and high FPS setups often lead to broken parts or batteries. Accordingly, the recommended best and most enjoyable setup is a low-FPS unit (around 200 FPS) combined with a high volume of fire, rather than focusing on raw power that offers no tactical advantage and can ruin the game experience for others.
