The GBRS Group has been granted US Patent 11,733,004B2 for their HYDRA Mount, a dual optic mount. HYDRA, the first dual optic mount designed for end-users, offers a 2.91” Optic Centerline for rapid target identification, regardless of obstructions from gear or equipment such as EarPro/Comms headsets, Gas masks/ CBRN, and Night vision use.

Its higher Optic allows for a more athletic posture and “Heads up” attitude that enables the end-users to maintain a vertical spine which translates to body armor or “presenting plates” to the threat. This “Heads up” style allows for faster processing speed and increased situational awareness. Its unique and patented design offers an elevated MIL-STD-1913, or Picatinny platform for directly attaching accessories such as lights, optics, thermals, and aiming devices.  

The pass-through on the neck allows for cable management or iron sight passthrough on the AIMPOINT variant. There is no longer a need to compromise your grip because of equipment or have to relocate your hands because of limited rail space. This is achieved by elevating accessories like the light or laser off the Picatinny and closer to the red dot optic. This alleviates obscuration and brings the weight to the center of the platform over the magazine well.
