Gun Blue48 conducts a disassembly of the BOLT FN SCAR SC B.R.S.S. electric airsoft rifle. He starts by removing the stock and the inner barrel, then extracts the main feature: the approximately 400-gram recoil weight unit. He continues by taking out the grip and the high-torque, 32,000 RPM motor.
Upon opening the gearbox, the video reveals several quality components, including an aluminum CNC-machined piston, a good cylinder head, and durable steel gears, all of which contribute to an excellent air seal. However, the he notes the poor quality of the factory grease and the presence of a mechanical trigger switch, which is susceptible to common wear issues like contact burning.
The main goal of the teardown is preparation for an upgrade to a Perun V2 Hybrid electronic trigger unit. This upgrade is intended to eliminate contact burnout risk, improve performance, and allow for programmable features such as pre-cocking and burst fire modes.
