KelTec SUB2000 GEN3

The beloved KelTec SUB2000, a 9mm carbine renowned for its compact, pistol-caliber convenience, just received a revolutionary upgrade. Introducing the SUB2000 GEN3, featuring a game-changing patent-pending rotating forend that allows for effortless folding in a single, seamless twist-and-tuck motion. Gone are the days of fumbling with multiple latches and detaching optics – the GEN3 lets you pack up with lightning speed, even with your favorite red dot sight clinging tight.

This is not just a facelift. Gone are the days of detaching optics and accessories before folding – a simple twist now condenses the carbine for discreet transport, all while keeping your gear mounted. This patent-pending mechanism is more than just convenience; it is a tactical advantage. Imagine deploying your SUB2000 with laser or red dot already sighted, ready to meet any situation head-on. The Gen3 does not stop there. M-Lok slots on the fore-end provide seamless accessory integration, and a threaded barrel opens the door for muzzle brakes or suppressors. The SUB2000 Gen3 is not just a folding carbine; it is a customizable, adaptable powerhouse, ready to unfold on your terms.

Derek Kellgren, Managing Director at KelTec, stated, "There is no longer a need to remove your preferred optics before folding the SUB2000 in half. Simply release the barrel assembly with a lever, twist the fore-end in either direction, and fold it, snapping it into place. It's as simple as one quick motion."

The GEN3 not only folds in half effortlessly with a single motion for storage, but its straightforward, one-handed operation also ensures smooth and rapid deployment.

Additional updates to the GEN3 include an aluminum trigger and redesigned trigger mechanics, resulting in a lighter 5lb trigger pull. These enhancements provide more precise feedback for a clean, isolated trigger pull, leading to improved accuracy and faster follow-up shots.

Kellgren added, "The GEN3 incorporates all the features SUB2000 enthusiasts have requested to make shooting and storage smoother and easier. We have even redesigned the operating handle for improved action."

The enhanced action of the SUB2000's redesigned operating handle offers increased comfort, a lighter action for easy racking, and an ambidextrous bolt hold-open. These improvements contribute to superior carbine manipulation.

The new model also includes a chamber indicator. While not a substitute for standard firearm safety practices, this visual indicator, in the form of a peephole above the chamber, further aids in safe firearm operation. When a round is chambered, the brass is visible through the peephole.

Weighing only 4.2lbs when unloaded and measuring 30.45 inches in overall length (16.15 inches when folded), the SUB2000 GEN3 is designed for easier hiking and climbing. With its 16.15-inch barrel, users can expect another generation of reliable, accurate shooting.

Marketing Manager Matt Stanek concluded, "The new SUB2000 GEN3 is yet another testament to KelTec's commitment to reliability and innovation."

Like its predecessors, the 9mm SUB2000 GEN3 is available in various magazine configurations, including Glock, allowing users to pair their favorite pistol with their preferred pistol caliber carbine.
