Kami Wars: A CALL TO ARMS!!! (Well, sorta...)

OptimusPrime

Good news and of course some sombering call to action for the Filipino airsoft community as we prepare for our two events. In the light of proposed legislation in the Philippines with House Bill 6676 and Senate Bill 3375, we have had some discussions to make adjustments to the events for Rapier 01 and especially to Kami Wars. Thus, we issue this announcement to call on each and able-bodied Filipino airsoft player to stand up and be counted and make some productive actions to understand and oppose the bills through the proper channels.  Wer all hope you would welcome our adjustments and help us out spread the word around to your airsoft teams, fora, and skirmish sites.

SHOW OF FORCE

We call on the Filipino airsoft community to be united and show themselves to be responsible, law-abiding citizens of the country. And show the respect, proper conduct, and camaraderie of airsoft players in the Philippines.

We are organising a symposium and discussion forum with the authorities on the proposed bills (if not yet passed). This will be held on Friday 27 November 2009. Time and place in Clark to be announced.

Since we want as many players as possible to be present to show how big the airsoft community is in the Philippines. We are now making major announcements on the RULES CHANGES to Kami Wars:

1. No more BDU/Uniform assignments to all Groups. Come in your preferred attire, as long as you don't play naked. We'll provide arm bands.

2. No more player limits per group. But we will try to balance the groups still depending on the headcount. Thus, you are free to choose which group you want to join.

3. Participation Fee now has been lowered to PHP1,000.00 (US$20.00) until the 20th of October 2009.  We know that PHP1,500 is a very limiting fee to many players, and since we want to rally the troops for a very big show of force, we believe that lowering the fee would help spur more participation. We are now not limiting the number of players. Please do come and show yourself. This also covers foreign participants. After 20 October, fee shall be Php1,500 until 15 November 2009.

4. CAMPING!!!! For those who would love to do camping for a few days, we are now preparing an area for camping. All players have an option to either book themselves to a hotel or camp out at the determined safe zone.

Please be informed that the camping will be SPARTAN, meaning, there will be no amenities within easy reach. We shall try to have portalets and water available, but expect no shower facilities and electricity at the camping grounds.  You can cook your own food, but any camp fire for BBQ and cooking should be raised, not on the ground.

5. FPS Limits will still remain the same. This is for safety purposes, and for a big number of players, it will be really dangerous if we remove the FPS limits. Please keep this in mind always. No pyros will be allowed, only authorised pyros to be handled by appointed people will be used. We shall however allow Gas Hand Grenades such as those from Airsoft Innovations, Hakkotsu, and MadBull as long as you do not use propane.

6. Green Policy. Please bring your own garbage bag (in black). We shall be using biodegradable bbs which we shall make available on site. All trash generated during the games by all players should be brought to the designated garbage dumping area.

7. Deadline has been extended to 15 November 2009. We want as many players as possible to participate. We will then have great fun!!!!

We hope you like the announcement we just made, and would show yourselves up to prove that the Philippine airsoft community is one of the most fun and vibrant in the world.
