The trade event where we see the global airsoft industry, community and media in under one roof, the IWA Outdoor Classics 2023 is starting today,  the 2nd of March under a new schedule of Thursday to Sunday. It is this trade event that the airsoft is well-represented.

Whilst attendance is not at pre-Covid-19 levels yet, more trade exhibitors are coming as compared to last year wherein attendance is fewer given that the world is still dealing with the pandemic. For this year, many of the familiar brands are back and they have something in store for airsoft players to look forward to this year.

The IWA Outdoor Classics is a massive international trade fair for hunting, shooting sports, outdoor activities and security. From firearms to gear and of course airsoft, there is lots to see hear and compared to the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, there are more exhibitors from the airsoft industry here. It’s  also a good excuse for airsoft community leaders and the airsoft media to get together and do some catching up.

Where to find the Airsoft Exhibitor? Most of them are in Hall 5 of Nuremberg Messe though other airsoft related companies are also exhibiting at various halls such as ASG and Umarex in Hall 7. For optics, they are in 3A; gear and outdoor stuff, they are in Hall 4.

For those looking forward to the Airsoft Meetup,  sadly, it won’t be taking place this year but there is one event outside of the venue and taking place on Friday 1900-2100H in the city centre. The annual Mealsim, which is where the airsoft gather together for a feast and have fun, will be at Ruff’s Burger & BBQ.

Just nearby is the Finnegan’s Harp Pub, the watering hole of the airsoft community during IWA Outdoor Classics. So during the evening, just drop by there and you will see the who’s who in airsoft and they’re more than happy to share a pint or two (or more) with you.
