It’s Halloween & That Means No Airsoft Guns When Trick-Or-Treating

Halloween 2022 PSA

it’s another day for a PSA and you all know that we keep on stressing on avoiding costumes that may make you bring you an airsoft gun when going trick-or-treating or going to that Halloween cosplay party. Unless you are going to an actual Halloween airsoft game hosted by your game site, please leave your airsoft gun at home.

There are lots of ways to look cool and awesome while out in the streets tonight. Just tap that creative mind of yours and think of characters that you can build your costume  on, just avoid characters that will require you to complete the look with a realistic-looking replica or toy gun, airsoft or not.

People do get alarmed when they see realistic gun replicas on the street and they will call the police. The police will of course will have their guns drawn when they see someone roaming the streets with what looks like to be a gun and since hard to distinguish an airsoft gun from the real one they will treat it like an airsoft gun. Failure in communication such as not following orders of the police to put down the weapon and raising the hands can lead to injurious or fatal consequences.

There are many opportunities to wear a costume and carry an airsoft gun during the year. We actually do that at airsoft events and if you are an avid cosplayer, then a cosplay events. Just leave Halloween out of it.

It’s a bit disappointing that airsoft YouTube influencers are nott releasing videos for an airsoft Halloween PSA. The videos are already several years old now. At least Evike.com made the effort to make one for this year so here is Matt with a Halloween Airsoft PSA Short:

Happy trick-or-treating!
