As Clear As Clearwater

Gungho Cowboy

In this WebSighting Feature, we present to you Clearwater PMC (Private Military Contractors), an airsoft operators group based in the UK Midlands area who skirmish primarily at the FB Woodland located in Bassetts Pole. If the real-steel world has the Blackwater PMC, then the airsoft world has its own PMC. Whether you want to term them Mercs such as Ares Operations, PMC seems to be the in thing, or rather a more politically correct (PC) term these days.

Now, for the unshameless posting of Clearwater's website contents:

Formed originally for one game, it went so well and afforded whichever side "hiring" us a clear tactical advantage, we decided to keep it going and have PMC missions present in more games.

Clearwater specialise in "getting things done" that would otherwise prevent the main force moving forward with their objectives or holding designated areas and or personnel thus freeing up valuable resources to any side commander.

Clearwater - The Beginning

"Providing Solutions to Todays Unfortunate Problems"

Clearwater was formed in 2007 to fulfil a requirement for small teams of well equipped and experienced "operators" to carry out specific tasks to enable the successful completion of the overall mission without compromising the larger force's operational capabilities.

Clearwater - Equipment

Whatever it takes to get the job done, with each operator having their own preferred weapons platform.

Main "long" arms are typically an M4 varient; AK-47 or MP5 although other weapons types are employed from a range of respected manufacturers.

Pistol choices range from the iconic 1911 to the more modern H&K USP Compact. Again, choice is left to the operators discretion and a wide range of manufacturers are used.

Clearwater - Uniform

Whilst it is important to blend in sometimes a distinct look can be advantageous! we generally wear either tan, sand or khaki coloured polo shirts and combat trousers or tactical trousers such as 5.11 with a sand ball cap although this is not a hard and fast rule.

For DA missions, full camo is more likely to be employed along with more weaponry unless the scenario dictates otherwise. More armour and magazines will also be carried and RoE's will be adapted to suit the more agressive style of combat.

Clearwater have also been employed in a CP role and asset protection and excel in both of these fields.

Operators

Operators are drawn from the ranks of Fireball Squadron on an ad hoc basis dependant on mission requirements and availability. we usuallywork in small teams of 5-8 members to provide maximum aggression in a small dynamic package. Larger forces can be deployed if required.

Clearwater will consider applications from other members of the airsoft community as well as from Fireball Squadron members. Contact us.

Weaponry

We use a variety of main weapons from manufacturers such as KA, ICS, TM, CA, JG, GYMA, DBoys and A&K. the main weapons of choice are listed below:
