Casio Computer Co., Ltd. recently unveiled the newest member of its G-SHOCK shock-resistant watch family. The MUDMASTER GWG-B1000, a dust- and mud-resistant timepiece, boasts a robust metal exterior that exudes a sense of strength and durability. This watch, popular among airsofters, is expected to pique the interest of those seeking a new G-Shock for both airsoft and everyday use.
The Master of G line welcomes its newest member, the GWG-B1000. It is a MUDMASTER model designed specifically for harsh, sandy, and dirty environments. The watch's rugged design incorporates G-SHOCK's renowned shock resistance while presenting an appealing multi-dimensional form.

The watch glass, which is typically the most susceptible to shock, is protected by parts at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions. These parts are treated with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating for enhanced abrasion resistance. They are intricately cut from components that are initially forged into bezel shapes through a meticulous production process that allows for complex shapes in metal.
The front button guard's intricate molded form is achieved through a different method known as metal injection molding (MIM). MIM is a technique that combines injection molding with a sintering process. It involves mixing fine metal powder with a binder, injection molding it in a method like that used with plastics, and then sintering it to produce high-precision metal parts in complex three-dimensional shapes.

The GWG-B1000 is not just about aesthetics; it is also packed with features that land mission users will find invaluable. This is the first G-SHOCK model that features a triple sensor, capable of measuring compass direction, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature. Additionally, it supports solar charging and radio wave reception.

What sets this watch apart is its smartphone connectivity. When paired with a smartphone, the dedicated app on the phone allows trouble-free operation of various useful features. This encompasses the Location Indicator, a feature that directs the inset dial indicator hand towards a location that has been marked on the map within the application.
Lastly, the watch also includes a Mission Log feature, which records activity history. This makes the GWG-B1000 not just a timepiece, but also a valuable tool for tracking and planning missions.
