TEAM WOODS COURSE

400fps using .25BBs.

TARGET SELECTION

Targets will be determined by the color each team leader will draw from a box before the team embarks on the course. If he draws green, the team will have to shoot and hit all green eggs and paper plate targets placed in various stages along the course. There will be 28 paper plates of various colors that will be set up, of which 10 will be green and 10 eggs of various colors, of which two will be green.

TIME

Each team is given a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of one hour to complete the course. The timer starts when the team leader presses the button and will stop when it is pressed by the last team member who returns to the starting point.

SCORING

Each participating team will be scored based on the following formula:

Points minus penalty over time = total score

Points will be awarded based on the following:

  • Hitting of designated target (colored paper plates) 100 points per plate
  • There will be 28 plates per stage, 10 of which need to be targeted and hit

  • Hitting of designated target (colored egg) 1000 points
  • There will be five colored eggs one of which has to be hit

  • Non-activation of IEDDs 100 points per IEDD
  • There will be 10 IEDDs along the route that should not be activated

Points will be deducted based on the following:

  • Hitting of non-designated target (colored paper plates) 50 points per plate
  • There will be 28 plates per stage, 18 of which should not be hit

  • Hitting of non-designated target (colored egg) 500 points
  • There will be five colored eggs, four of which should not be hit

  • Activation of IEDDs 100 points per IEDD
  • There will be 10 IEDDs along the route

For each team member who fails to finish the course 100 points.

OPFOR

There will be no points awarded for Opfor players hit. They will only cease firing if shot and hit. Opfor players have specific rules of engagement. They are there to prevent you from completing your mission. They should be expected to engage and disengage based on specific set of criteria.

WOUNDED-MAN RULE

If any of the participating team players is shot and wounded, he is to act out his hit and fall to the ground, cease firing and call for a medic. His team mates must perform buddy aid and apply a bandage. After doing so, wounded player is again active. There will be no penalties for wounded players. There shall only be one medic per team.

STARTING LINE

Team leader presses timer and team runs from Starting Line towards Stage 1.

STAGE 1: SNIPER-INITIATED ACTION

  • Maximum Available Points: 1000
  • Maximum Available Penalty: 500 for each non-designated target hit
  • Maximum Allowable Time: 10 minutes

Upon reaching Stage 1, the Designated Marksman should be able to hit the designated colored egg target positioned 100 meters downrange. The DM is given 10 minutes to hit the target. The team scores 1000 points and will advance to the next stage if the target is hit within 10 minutes.

The team will be allowed to proceed to the next stage if the DM fails to hit the target at the end of 10 minutes. However, no points will be awarded to the team. The team will be penalized 500 points for each non-designated target hit.

STAGE 2: PILOT RESCUE & RETRIEVAL

Points Dependent on Targets Hit

  • Maximum Available Points: 1600 (50 x 4 x 8 plates)
  • Maximum Available Penalty: 1600 (50 x 32 plates)

Upon reaching Stage 2, the team should engage and hit designated colored paper plate targets and Opfor players and then rescue the injured pilot. The team shall be awarded 50 points if they hit the inner circle of each plate and 25 points if they hit the outer circle.

Points will be awarded only for a maximum of four hits to the target and will be computed based on the highest points possible ie if a plate is hit six times, with three shots to the inner circle, a total of 175 points will be awarded.

Each team will be penalized if they hit non-designated targets based on the same point system for designated targets ie 50 points if they hit the inner circle of each plate and 25 points if they hit the outer circle of a non-designated target. A non-designated target can be hit several times but only the highest point possible would count ie if target is hit six times with one shot to the inner circle, only that shot will be counted.

Opfor players are not worth any points but they need to be neutralized to eliminate hostile threats to the team.

From this stage, the team should have designated carriers for the injured pilot who shall be made up of two 60-pound sandbags that would be taped together.

STAGE 3: IEDD

Points Dependent on Targets Hit & IEDDs Activated

  • Maximum Available Points: 1600 (50 x 4 x 8 plates) + 1000
  • Maximum Available Penalty: 1600 (50 x 32 plates) + 1000

Upon reaching Stage 3, team will encounter booby traps/IEDD and paper plate targets along the way. The team must hit their designated colored targets while avoiding triggering any of the booby traps or IEDDs.

Points will be awarded to the team based on the same point system for paper plate targets hit and 100 points for each booby trap/IEDD that is not activated. Each team will be penalized 100 Points for each booby trap/IEDD that is triggered.

STAGE 4: SKIRMISH & DM-INITIATED ACTION

Points Dependent on Targets Hit

  • Maximum Available Points: 1600 (50 x 4 x 8 plates) + 1000
  • Maximum Available Penalty: 1600 (50 x 32 plates) + 2000

Upon reaching Stage 4, the team is expected to engage and hit Opfor players and designated colored targets. The team will be awarded points or penalized based on the same system in Stages 2 and 3. While this is taking place, the DM would have to acquire and hit designated colored egg target from 200 feet. The team will not be able to proceed to the next stage even if all designated colored paper plate targets are hit unless the egg target is hit.

The team shall be awarded 1000 point if the designated egg target is hit and will be penalized 500 points for each non-designated egg target that is hit.

Once designated egg target is hit and the way has been cleared, the team should run back to the staging area. Most if not all team members should be in the designated box in the staging area when the timer is stopped.

FINISH LINE

  • Maximum Available Points: 500
  • Maximum Available Penalty: 500 + 100 for each non-finisher

The team will be awarded 500 points if they bring the pilot to the staging area with them. The team will be penalized 500 points if the pilot is not successfully extracted. The team will also be penalized 100 points for each team member who fails to finish the course i.e. who is not in the designated box when the timer is stopped.
