Another top-down-shooter game for those who want to move on from “Door Kickers” is now available. The company behind PUBG, Krafton, announced that “Thunder Tier One” is now available to download for those who have Steam accounts, and looking at some initial gameplays, it sure has holds promise of a good shooter game.

“Thunder Tier One” started as a personal project of PUBG Head of Action and Gunplay Unit Pawel Smolewski when he was working at Bohemia Interactive in 2016. After some delays due to other work commitments, the game’s development restarted in 2020 with new team members. The game puts the player in an elite team of operators that go on a series of missions against terrorists. Players must use their tactical skills in real time to achieve mission objectives. The gane features Exfil, Deathmatch, Domination and Advance & Secure modes that have been designed to put players’ tactical skillset to the test.

The player has the following game modes: solo, co-op, or multiplayer and PVP. In Solo, the player has nine missions to accomplish and will take charge a team of four characters with the player being the fourth operator in the team. The team undertakes missions either securing a value high-value individual or finding some chemicals. The player will have to look at ways at approaching the objective, being able to deploy team members stealthily before all opening fire and let hell break loose or do the mission even more quietly.

In cooperative gameplay, the player will have to team up with other human players, which probably is a much better way on doing an operation as compared to controlling AI characters in solo mode. As for PVP (player versus player), it explains itself, one gets to go against another human player.

Modding is available for the game, allowing players to design their own missions, weapons, characters, AI behaviours, equipment and more. This gives variety and players with more imagination will be able to create missions that can even be more exciting than the default missions.

“Thunder Tier One” can be installed from Steam to Windows PCs for US$19.99.
