Vrooom Armament shows how to modify a Tokyo Marui VSR One chassis to add a Maple Leaf mag holder, which is not originally fully compatible. The process involves drilling a second hole in the mag holder for increased stability, ensuring it aligns with the M-LOK rail section on the chassis. The most crucial step is to dremel a cutout on the VSR One chassis to create a flat surface that allows the mag holder to sit properly and accommodate a magazine without interference.

The episode covered various aspects of the pistol, starting with the Short Bolt and the 4uantum Lubes. They also examined the Maple Leaf Hop Up Chamber and the Maple Leaf Hop Up Bucking, along with the Maple Leaf M-Lok rail. An FPS test was conducted to measure the pistol's performance. Korean YouTube channel, Ahjae TV, gets to test the Maple Leaf Short Bolt for the VFC MK18 Gas Blowback Rifle. Also known as the "Hummingbird", this is a drop-in replacement for the stock bolt assembly and will increase the ROF to around 18 rounds per second depending on gas pressure and BB weight. This also allows the conversion of the AR to non-stock or folding-stock and maintain bolt locking function.

One of the interesting new products that was on display at the Taiwan MOA Exhibition 2022 is the Hummingbird Bolt Carrier from Maple Leaf. Designed for use in GHK-spec'ed M4 gas blowbacks, it can be easily installed without the need to make modifications --- just remove the GHK bolt carrier and chuck in the Maple Leaf Hummingbird and you're ready to go.
