Casper Arms talk about how Russian Soldiers raise their arms when reloading their AK rifle whilst holding the handguard... "If you look closely at some footage of military exercises of Russian soldiers, you can notice one unusual thing. During firing, they bend the elbow of their right arm upwards and stand sideways. At the same time, they reload the AK rifle by holding the handguard, whereas Spetznaz operators never do that. Moreover, they laugh at such soldiers.
Casper Arms cover the U.S. Army's "Evil" Battalion that plays the role of the OPFOR in field training exercises... "We used to think of the U.S. Army as tough guys in OCPs and M-4 rifles. But what if I told you that there are entire battalions and regiments that serve... with AK rifles and are trained to Soviet standards! So how are these units set up, and why do so many other soldiers hate them?"
The AKS-74U is a very handy gun in airsoft and we're actually fans of it. However, in real world application, Russian soldiers hated it during the wars in Chechnya. Casper Arms explains why in this episode... "After the creation of the AK-74, in the late 70's its shortened version – the AKS-74U – appeared. Many people love this rifle, but few know that during the Chechen war, the AKS-74U became... one of the most despised rifles among Russian soldiers! What is the reason?"
More military history by Casper Arms as they talk about why Navy SEALS hunted for the RPD-44 and wore blue jeans during the Vietnam War... "Today, when we imagine a Special Forces squad, we think of tough guys in camouflage or monochrome uniform with a ton of equipment and top-notch weapons. But if we look at how the Navy Seals looked like 40-50 years ago, we will be greatly surprised. Why did they wear jeans during the operations?
Casper Arms covers the AK-12, which has become the standard issue rifle for the Russian Army and explains why the Spetsnaz would rather use the older AK-74... "The AK-12 rifle was called the 'fifth generation weapon', which would outperform the previous AK-74 by (!) two times and become the best in the world. But what do we see in practice? The Russian soldiers and Special Forces operators.. simply can't stand the new Kalashnikov rifle! What is the reason?
Casper Arms explain why special operations units use smaller plate carriers as compared to regular infantry which use bigger ones... "A hundred years ago body armor was an extremely rare thing. Today it has become a common part of the equipment of all modern armies. But one unusual detail can be noticed here. Why do soldiers in the army wear large armored vests, while Special Forces operators wear small plate carriers?"
Casper Arms talks about three wildest airsoft that were made for the Spetsnaz that you probably don't know about... "The shortened version of the Kalashnikov AKS-74U rifle is the second (!) most popular weapon of the AK series, which is known to everyone who loves guns. But in this issue we will not talk about it: today we will talk about three of the wildest rifles, which are made on the basis of the short AKS-74U.
