The 7th Infantry Division of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), is organising an airsoft tournament called Heroes of the Great Raid, which shall take place on 27 July 2008 at the Philippine Special Forces School in Fort Magsaysay, province of Nueva Ecija. This is in observance of the famous Great Raid conducted by US Army Ranges, Alamo Scouts, and Philippine guerrillas that saved 513 Prisoners of War (POW) in 30 January 1945 from Japanese captivity.
Another Filforce event in the offing... "In the aftermath of a virulent outbreak of Ebola, a third of Congo's population is dead and the country is in open civil war. The country is split into four major factions, headed by cronies of the corrupt former ruler Joseph Mobutu. The CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control) believes it has found a breakthrough in treating Ebola but require live virus samples from the effected regions to complete their research.
