OptimusPrime

That was quick, Scaar of Airsoft Austria Television (AATV) already got back to Austria on the 20th of January and didn't wait for the official closing of the SHOT 2012. He already submitted two videos that were included in our previous SHOT 2012 report and now here are more videos that he was able to process for your viewing pleasure:

Now, below is the final video (I think) that Airsoft Medicine made at the SHOT 2012 and this covers the upcoming Magpul PTS Personal Defense Rifle (PDR) and this time it's a comprehensive thing.

This is the extended version of the Shot Show 2012 interview by Dr. Airsoft and Rangemaster Larry of Airsoft Medicine with Alex of Magpul PTS about the Personal Defense Rifle (PDR).  This is an exhaustive account of the history and details of one of the most anticipated airsoft guns ever.  Warning:  This is video is over 11 minutes long.

A very interesting tidbit of information about the even was gathered by Airbana, just like us, did online monitoring of the SHOT 2012, but unlike us, he was tracking Social Media of the things discussed at the event. You can read the blog entry at Airbana by clicking this: "Social Media Engagement during the 2012 #ShotShow" and an infographic shown below (you can click the full size the infographic at the Airbana Blog.

Interesting tidbits on the infographic as highlighted by Gareth of Airbana:

  • 12% of people talking about the show were women.
  • The most retweeted mention of the show was from Steve Austin and was retweeted over 300 times reaching a total audience of 1,716,186 people!
  • The most talked about brands appeared to be Colt, Magpul and Glock.
  • There were some very influential people discussing the Show with the highest Klout score being 83.

Stay tuned for more SHOT 2012 updates as we still have some more coming.
