It’s that time of the year when Tokyo Marui shows up with a big announcement on what to expect from them at this year’s 55th Shizouka Hobby Show. Last year was a significant one, as they revealed the AA-12 AES to the glee of many airsoft players around the world. The AA-12 AES is a feat in itself as it fires rounds from three barrels, making it a unique airsoft shotgun.

For this year, we still do not have a clue on what they will release for the year as by this time they should have released teaser images on what they will unveil this year. But so far, there was no official teaser yet. Hyperdouraku is imagining that they will unveil a Kel-Tec KSG Gas Shotgun, though that is wishful thinking for Yas. But it’s not a bad idea at all as there is there has been no update on the SOCOM Gear Kel-Tec KSG ever since it was announced in January 2014 via RedWolf Airsoft’s Facebook Page.

But what we have instead is a special page on the 55th Shizuoka Hobby Show at the Tokyo Marui website. What they announced are the following:

1. Product reveal and they want you to be at their booth during the show to see first hand what the product(s) will be;
2. Shooting range will also be installed at the venue and visitors ages 18 and up can try their hands on the airsoft guns that they will make available at the range;
3. More than 30 models will be on display. Unfortunately for those ages 10 and below, there will be no airsoft guns on display for them like the Toy Gun train last year; and
4. Original Tokyo Marui merchandise will be on display as well. For those who want to buy something from the Tokyo Marui web shop, the same merchandise will be available at the show.

If you are in Japan, or planning to be at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, the trade visitors only event will be on the 12th to the 13th of May 2016 and the show will then be open to general visitors from the 14th to the 15th of May 2016.
