The Gear Locker got a sample of the "Storm" coloured Taclite Pro Pants, which is a new colour scheme from 5.11 Tactical, for this review... "We had a chance to try out 5.11′s Taclite Pro Pants in their new color, Storm, which is their entry into the 'Grey is the new Black.' Storm is a great color, and is a nice change from your typical tans and OD colors patterns.

Eric's latest review covers another product from the Wild Things Wednesday --- the Hard Shell Jacket FR-GT... "We are back with another edition of Wild Things Wednesday. This time around, we have their Hard Shell Jacket FR-GT. Wild Things has taken their very popular Alpinist Jacket and adapted GORE-TEX’s latest fabrics for the hard shell and their latest version of their PYRAD fabric that gives the jacket its flame retardant properties.  The PYRAD material adds heat and flame protection to non-FR materials.

A more streamlined pair of Wiley X Goggles reviewed by TGL... "Overall, they are a very streamlined pair of goggles and felt comfortable for our testing period.  They did stay fog-free, thanks to the venting on the top and bottom of the goggle and if you notice that you fog no matter what you do, there is foam that covers the vents to help with keeping dirt out. You can selectively remove some of that foam to increase airflow.

A mesh bag from 0241 Tactical that can hold wet and dry clothes gets reviewed by Eric... "The overall size of the Wet/Dry Mesh Bag is 24 inches x 25 inches and it can hold up to 100 pounds.  That means, you can fit pretty much anything you want into it! We tested it by going into our collection of Multicam and seeing how many different items we could fit into the bag. Let’s just say, we were very impressed.  The Mesh Bag is also excellent if you want to transport some gear to the range for training, and do not want to bring your entire LBT Roller Bag.

The group which were behing the HSP D3CR Chest Rig designed this new rig reviewed by Eric... "EGL is a USA based custom Nylon builder that I have been fortunate enough to work with since early 2013 when they built my first custom chest rig in the Kryptek Mandrake pattern. Since then they have built me a custom leg rig, again in Mandrake which was reviewed last year on TGL and now this!"

Eric reviews a rain suit that we want to get our hands on --- the UF PRO Monsoon SMallpack Rain Suit... "We also liked how the Monsoon Rain Suit was easy to don and doff, and how small we can pack it down. With practice (and the size of your suit), you can pack it down very small, and I bet even get both the pants and the jacket into the same pouch. If you are in need of a great piece of foul weather gear for work, for training, or you enjoy being out in the rain, then the Monsoon Smallpac Rain Suit is for you.

A good review of the Multitasker AR Took Series 3 done by Eric... "Rarely does a new tool come onto the market with as much industry talk as the new Series 3 Multitasker AR tool. As with their first two in the series, the Multitasker tool is set up primarily to keep your AR-15 type rifles up and running in the field away from your work bench consisting of much larger and cumbersome specialized tools. A few months ago, I obtained a sample of the much anticipated Series 3 Multitasker to field test for myself.

Back to Wild side with Eric as he reviews the Wild Things Lightweight Softshell... Here's a closer look at the Combat Trousers from DRIFIRE as reviewed by Eric... "Putting the combat pants on, the first thing you realize is how comfortable they are and now they feel broken in. I am wearing mine as I type. They feel like I have been wearing them for a lot longer than I have actually had them in my possession.  The cargo and thigh pockets are very generous and the Velcro tabs keep their contents in place. If you are looking for a great pair of combat pants, you need to check out the offering from DRIFIRE."
