Wired.com has this story posted early this month on how the amazing Leatherman Tread was made... "Rivera had a sketch of the Tread before he even returned to work. It looked like a bit like a bike chain, with interlocking tools. Many Leatherman tools are “wearable,” but not like the Tread. A bracelet made sense: It allowed you to have your tools on you, literally, all the time. It also required each bit, wrench and driver to be tiny, so you wouldn’t encounter trouble from the TSA, Disney guards or anyone else.

This product announcement from Leatherman is making rounds at various social media networks where it has captured the attention of many people, including airsofters of its capabilities. The Leatherman Tread is the first wearable tool that can be worn on the wrist and comes with some essential tools needed in case of emergencies. Macgyver would love to have this if the it was in existence when the TV series was still being produced.
