RATRATAN 2007 Is Now On!

MANILA, HERE WE COME!!! We'll be in town in December 2007 to cover further the Philippine airsoft scene as it is one of the most colourful and competitive airsoft scenes in the airsoft world. We are looking forward to spending the long Christmas holidays there (yes! It's the longest in the world as far as we know), so we might as well organise something for the Philippine airsofters.

RATRATAN 2007 ("Ratrat" is a term for "spray and pray" in local parlance), is organised also as our gratitude for Philippine airsoft players' active participation in PopularAirsoft.com. They're prolific in giving us news and leads, plus some of the reviews posted in this site.

So Pinoy airsofters: 15 December is our date with you.

Venue will be in Baghdad Libis, Quezon City. We hope that this will become an annual Christmas Bball for Pinoy Airsofters.

After all those very competitive events you have all been to, Rataratan 2007 is the event for you to just let those bbs fly in a non-competition event that is made to be JUST PLAIN FUN.

Tentative List of Game Plays with which we spoofed the titles of some of the famous and prestigious airsoft events in the Philippines as per suggestion of a pinoy airsofter (our apologies to the game organisers of these events in case they don't want their events spoofed, just message us so we can revise the game titles):

Galis 1.0: Tip of The Tongue (Kalis Title Spoof)
God Save The Editor (God Save The Queen Title Spoof) or should it rather be God Shoot The Editor?
Megahol (Megaball Title Spoof)
East Vs. West (North Vs. South Title Spoof)
5th Quarter Storm (4th Quarter Storm Title Spoof)

Sir Shaq of Baghdad Libis will be concocting the game scenarios. So stay tuned for more news in this forum or at www.popularairsoft.com.

There will be prizes to be raffled off. But the best prize will be given to the person with the best loadout and we won't tell you how the loadout should be in order to be judged.

Early bird reservations will just pay P250.00. The early bird will be until 1 December 2007. After 1 December, the fee will be P300.00.

Airsoft and tactical accessories vendors are allowed to set up shop at the event (but not in the dead zone). Who knows? The bonuses or 13th month pay of the players have already been released by then. Please email us if you are interested as there will be instructions on how to be a part of this and there will be limited slots.
