One of the highlights for airsoft in the UK for the winter season was the Magpul Interaction Night organised by JD Airsoft with Edgar Brothers and Stirling Airsoft. I got an invitation to this event, and informed Optimus Prime about it. He requested if I can cover this for Popular Airsoft, and I agreed since I always want to contribute stories to the website.

The event was held last 8 December at JD Airsoft in Cannock, Staffordshire. Since it was closer to home, it was something that I should not miss.

If it was wet and the wind was strong that night, the weather inside the JD store was surprisingly warm -- emanating from the hospitality of the hosts. Stepping inside, I was greeted by my old friend Phil who is the owner of the JD Airsoft Ltd., offering me hot drinks and  food just to get things even warmer. We started chatting about the Magpul Interaction night and he mentioned that it all started when Carl Miller of Edgar Brothers interested him in selling Magpul RIFS and PTS products.  And the best way to let the airsofters know about their new items is to hold an interaction night. Edgar Brothers happily donated a Magpul AKM and JD topped it up with G&P MOE CQB  for the the charity raffle.

Phil also mention that he's planning to move to more bigger showroom with a warehouse on the back for easy checking on the levels of his stocks.

Walking around the shop I recognized familiar faces, Carl and Jenny from Edgar Brothers; Matt, Ben, and Dave from Stirling Airsoft and their wig; and Nigel from Airsoft Action Magazine who was covering the evening as well.

The charity raffle raised £340 for the Air Ambulance and the winners were:

• Fiona Harrington - Fireball 'Hornets Nest' Weekend event Certificate.
• Steve Keary - Free Stirling Event of his choice (2012)
