Get Call of Duty Elite And "Break Up With Your Fiancé"

Logan

That's what Lieutenant Colonel Rob Riggle, USMC, guarantees you when you join the Call of Duty Elite Premium Service. So prepare to disappoint everyone (your mom, your dad, your girlfriend, etc.), even your wallet, as it will cost US$50.00 per year to get access to new maps, intel, and if you're diligent enough, study all the possibilities to go up the leaderboards.

But would you? With new game titles coming out to get the crown off the Call of Duty as the best selling game each year, the improvements of the title are just more cosmetic rather than truly groundbreaking. As they game publisher concocts more ways to eke out money from the video gamer, they're throwing in more variety in otherwise the same game. Sure you get an IOS (iPhone/iPad OS) to track your stats and improvements while in-game without switching screens.

So with all these new enticements that would recruit clans and gamers to network, my caveat is that they haven't really fixed the cheating issues such as wallhacks and aimbots. These have been a problem since way before and rather devote their time with ways to clean your wallet, they should have devoted resources to prevent cheating. Camping? That's another thing, though I don't have any problems with players camping out in maps to deny the opposing players to their objectives, or hold them off until the winning kill is made by his/her team mate. For now, we are stuck with the old method of reporting players who are cheating, rather than the developers improve on detecting cheaters and removing them, or just fix the damn thing and prevent cheating.

Anyway, the video here looks good, with Lieutenant Colonel Rob Riggle recruited to convince you to go an join the premium service. If you're heaving into clan vs clan or would like to network with other video gamers even with Facebook, then this might be the thing for you. There will be new content for you to play with while using the service, and the maps may just better than the standard COD MW3 fare.

Will I subscribe to Call of Duty Elite? The answer is NO. If they fix the cheating issues, then I might reconsider. For now, I'd rather do team gaming in Battlefield 3.
