Tokyo Marui VSR-ONE BASR, LCPII & CURVE Pistols Revealed At The Marufes Online Part 7

Tokyo Marui VSR-ONE

With Tokyo Marui already announcing some highly anticipated products early this year, we were expecting that Marufes Online Part 7 to end the year with a soft landing. But so far, they decided to end the year with a bang, unveiling what looks to be the coolest compact bolt action airsoft sniper rifle when it gets released --- the VSR-ONE.

The duo from the Marudeca Advertising HQ, Tokyo Marui PR Head Deka Shimamura  and Virtual Military YouTuber Irodori Mayoi, apart from revealing the VSR-ONE, also brought out to more new members of the compact carry gas pistol series, the LCP II, and the CURVE fixed slide gas pistols.

But first, let’s go to the LCP II, which of course is based on the Ruger LCP II Pistol. Whilst there are differences, it is hard to notice them. If the LCP II follows the real world specifications, then it is a wee bit bigger than the LCP. However, even if the internals of the LCP II is the same as the Tokyo Marui LCP and BODYGUARD 380, unfortunately for owners of the LCP, the magazine is not compatible with the LCP II due to the different shape of the magazine bumper.

The CURVE is an interesting pistol as it is based on the Taurus CURVE .380 ACP pistol. It is a concealed carry pistol with a curved frame that was introduced in 2015. However, it seems Taurus USA does not have it in its line up nowadays. It uses the same internals as the LCP and BODYGUARD 380 and will not need a holster as it comes with a belt clip.

Also revealed for the compact carry gas pistol series are long magazines for both the LCPs and the BODYGUARD 380.

But the pièce de résistance is the surprise revelation of the VSR-ONE. We have been wondering why Tokyo Marui has not released a bolt action sniper rifle since the release of the M40A5 in 2016. The VSR-ONE uses the best selling VSR-10 internals albeit with more 21st century externals such as M-LOK Rails. It is has a pistol grip and folding stock making it a really compact sniper rifle? CQB sniper rifle?

The other compact airsoft sniper rifle in the market is the Amoeba AS-03 BASR, which at first glance rather looks like a sawed-off shotgun rather than a sniper rifle.

Overall, it’s been a fine year for Tokyo Marui, as it continued on announcing new products as well making more releases than other airsoft companies during the Covid-19 pandemic.

No need for saving up for these for Christmas as their release dates have not yet been determined yet. But you can start saving up for these for next year.

If you have not watched the new product corner portion of the Marufes Online Part 7, you can watch it here again. Below it the video are more detail sent to us by the company.
