Mach Sakai: Tokyo Marui HK416C Review

Mach Sakai reviews the latest member of Tokyo Marui's award-winning HK416 new generation blowback and recoil AEG series, the HK416C. This is the compact version that comes with two ways of powering the AEG, via a PEQ box which you can connect via wire in the handguard by removing a portion of the side rail, and via the magazine. This is the first review we have read of the newly released Tokyo Marui HK416C NEG, and it is not surprise that Hyperdouraku doing the honour of giving us a closer look at this AEG which can be powered two ways. We do agree with his observation that it is better using the external battery box to power this AEG rather than use the magazine that can also contain a battery. Just imagine changing magazines and batteries each time you need to reload.

Tokyo Marui HK416C NEG 24 March Release

Tokyo Marui posted news that the Tokyo Marui HK416C New Generation AEG (NEG) with blowback and recoil is set to be released on the 24th of March 2016. The most compact in the HK416C line-up, the Marui HK416C can be powered in two different ways: use of a battery that is installed in the 30-round magazine, or a battery stored in a PEQ battery box that is connected via the front end by removing a portion of the rail to reveal a battery connector.

WE Airsoft 888C Gas Blowback Test Fire

With all the announcements of the WE Airsoft Gas Blowback's availability from various vendors in the Far East, we still have to see being test fired to have an initial impression about it. Toy Soldier, which posted the video at Forota.hk, is a short clip of it being fired.The firing sounds crisp and blowback action looks good. But of course, it's still best to gauge this when you hold it in your hands at your favourite airsoft retails shop.

The first one is the WE 888C Gas Blowback Rifle, which is familiar to many airsofters right now as based on the design of the HK416C (Compact). In case you haven't found out yet, WE Airsoft have already released their version of the HK416C with the 888C Gas Blowback Rifle. It does not have the Heckler & Koch markings as typical of WE Airsoft not licensing trademarks. EB Airsoft are selling this for US$353.50 and will be shipped from Taiwan. Check the product page since they have an advisory on shipping.

OddysAirsoft: VFC HK 416c Overview

Oddys Airsoft gives us an overview of the HK416C which is made by VFC for the Umarex brand. We have been pestering a certain company if they will make a blowback and recoil version of this, and we hope they would agree to it... "The 416C is the subcompact version of the 416 and is the smallest of the HK assault family. The real firearm was designed for the British special forces and marketed to the US Special Ops units."
