Vespaflower123 installs the ACP Rail on the Real Sword Airsoft Type 97 AEG, a hard to find AEG these days. The Type 97 is a unique Chinese assault rifle, diverging from the AK-based designs of its predecessors. It was initially developed with the 5.8mm caliber, showcasing superior performance compared to the 7.62mm. The export version, chambering the 5.56mm NATO round, was first seen in Hong Kong during the 1997 handover. Real Sword has accurately replicated this firearm in airsoft form.
A rare one these days, Mach Sakai shows us the Tanaka Arisaka Type 97 Sniper Rifle. This is a bolt action airsoft sniper rifle and a rather lengthy rifle at that. Landwarrior Airsoft is now offering Real Sword products, starting with the Type 97... "The Chinese-made Type 97 broke the mould of Chinese-made assault rifles in that it wasn't based on the design of another gun (the Type 81 and Type 56 prior to that were based on the AK series). The Type 95 used the Chinese-developed 5.8mm caliber, which outperformed the 7.62mm caliber in tests. The Type 97 is an export version, which chambers the 5.56mm NATO round instead.
