This airsoft scope is designed to give red dots and other reflex sights the advantage up to 5x magnification. The scope is designed to be placed behind a reflex sight. The scope lacks a reticle (ie. cross-hairs), instead relying on the projected reticle of reflex sight. Magnified you really notice the fuzzy reticles of cheap aimpoint/red dot knock offs vs. real steel reflex sights.

The base has a spring loaded hinge allowing the shooter to swing the scope away for a direct view of the reflex sight for CQB, though the scope still partially block peripheral view. A large rubberized zoom ring covering half of the body, twists to adjust the magnification from 1.5x to 5x. At max magnification, the focus isn't tac sharp at infinity. Instead, the focal point seems to be set at around 75-100ft which is appropriate for airsoft. It has a 1.5" eye relief and a fairly narrow viewing arc. The sight picture lacks the clarity and brightness of high end, real steel optics but at $80 it's a fraction of the price and more than reasonable for airsoft use.
