Tokyo Marui has announced the upcoming release of their Hi-Capa D.O.R.-R Gas Blowback Pistol in Japan on 29 May 2025. This Direct Optics Ready (DOR) model joins the gas blowback R series, specifically recommended for individuals aged 14 and above. A key feature of this pistol is its uniquely designed slide, which allows for the direct, low-profile attachment of the optional "Micro Pro Sight" without the need for an additional mount. Notably, the internal components, including the blowback engine and slide stop, mirror the specifications of the 18+ Hi-Capa DOR, ensuring robust recoil while enhancing operational stability and ease of use, particularly when the Micro Pro Sight is equipped.

The Hi-Capa D.O.R. boasts several user-centric design elements. It is fully compatible with the separately sold Micro Pro Sight, which can be directly mounted by removing the rear sight. Additionally, a high mount base is included, offering an alternative higher mounting position, complete with an integrated backup sight for use with the optic. To further improve handling, the pistol features a flat short trigger for enhanced trigger control and a long slide stop. The slide itself incorporates wide serrations and a prominent rib, facilitating easier slide manipulation, especially when a Micro Pro Sight is attached.

Performance-wise, the Hi-Capa D.O.R. delivers a powerful blowback action, simulating the strong recoil experienced during firing. While maintaining the robust recoil of the 18+ version, this model adheres to youth development ordinance standards with a firing power of 0.135 Joules or less and achieves high accuracy. It incorporates a dedicated DOR blowback engine featuring a new piston and a short recoil system similar to the M45A1, contributing to the low optic position and improved stability. Furthermore, a metal notch spacer is integrated to mitigate wear on the slide stop and notch. The pistol is supplied with a high-capacity magazine holding 31 rounds and a substantial gas reservoir.
