OptimusPrime

Lakewood WA, -Logan D. Coffey, founder and president of Tactical Tailor, Inc., died Sunday, April 20, 2008 in a tragic car accident on Gravelly Lake Road. Friends and family have already begun to mourn the loss of Coffey, a former United States Army Scout Sniper with 1st Brigade 25th Infantry, who improved the lives of military and law enforcement personnel through improvements in their uniforms and equipment. During his Army days, Coffey would make adjustments and refinements to his personal gear and equipment, increasing the comfort and durability of both. Soon, he was creating rucksacks, bags and packs of his own design, on industrial sewing machines in his barracks room.

Upon leaving the Army in 1998, Coffey continued his work, growing the business from a barracks room to a garage, to its current 65,000+ s.f. manufacturing, design and retail spaces. In addition to constantly finding ways to increase the efficiency and durability of military equipment and uniforms, Coffey offered a product lifetime guarantee, and often donated gear and equipment to fellow soldiers.

Friends of Logan, would often speak of his business mission, success and honesty. Logan cared deeply about soldiers and helped in every way to insure that they were sent into battle with the highest quality gear. Logan also cared very deeply about his employees and he was very dedicated to them.

Tactical Tailor, Inc. has announced that Logan Coffey's brother and company vice president, Justin Coffey, will succeed him as company president, cementing current business relationships and forging new ones, exhibiting the passion and knowledge that originally drove the company's success. Justin Coffey is expected to continue his brother's mission and further evolve the company's designs, reach, and structure.

Logan is survived by his father, Larry; his mother, Anita (Las Cruces, NM); and his brother, Justin (Lakewood, WA). Logan's integrity, honesty and commitment to excellence in the execution of everything he did will be sorely missed.
