Silverback Airsoft MDR-X AEG

It's getting closer, the airsoft version of the DesertTech MDR-X AEG being produced by Silverback Airsoft. The wait is still long given the disruption in production schedules caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. For the meantime, let's treat ourselves to its highlights in this 3D video presentation... "This video presents the main technical characteristics of the Silverback Airsoft MDR-X, the latest version of this bullpup assault rifle licensed by Desert Tech and chambered in 7.62 NATO.

  • Length: 70 cm.
  • Weight: 2.6 Kg (with magazine, without battery).
  • 420 mm inner barrel (brass, 6.05 mm bore, AEG type).
  • It will be available in Black and FDE.
  • It takes G&P/A&K type SR-25 mags, and will be delivered with a polymer 80 rounds midcap.
  • The 10 mm ball bearings Gearbox is partly proprietary but most V2/V3 gear sets and piston will be compatible with slight modifications.
  • Computerized trigger and motor control, Dean (T-Plug) connectors.
  • Battery bay can accommodate Li-Po stick/AK type batteries (7.4V or 11.1V).
  • There are plans for a MDR-C (compact version), 5.56 mm adapters kits, barrels kits, handguards and many other things, but later.
