Fox Airsoft MP5 Basics

The Heckler & Koch MP5s are still popular airsoft guns for players as there is a revival in using airsoft versions of the iconic SMG. However, Fox Airsoft got some reminders for those who own or are planning to own one of the variants... "Here's some things you need to know as a prospective airsoft MP5 owner:

  1. Do NOT HK slap your charging handles. If you break it we will not warranty your gun. No, they do not ship broken so don't pretend!
  2. The only officially licensed HK airsoft guns in America will be by Elite Force/Umarex and we can offer full support of these products. We do not offer warranty support for off brand clones.
  3. The Sportline MP5s are fun and work great but are difficult to install batteries in for a beginner. If you're looking for this as a first gun and get frustrated easily, this is NOT for you nor does it get too much easier with other airsoft guns. The sportline models use a 9.6v NiMH butterfly-style battery or optionally a panel-style Lipo. Get used to that and work through it and you'll be happy with the gun!
  4. The current generation of Proline MP5's offered by Elite Force/VFC feature a MOSFET and have Safe/Semi/Full Auto function. Older models of this also had Burst but that function was deleted and we do not offer service for those old guns.

Random MP5 notes:

MP5's feature a version 2 gearbox and a long type motor. The MP5K platform (not discussed in the video) uses a version 3 gearbox and a long type motor. The Elite Force/VFC Avalon MP5 thread type is -14mm (14mm CCW). The Elite Force Sportline HK MP5 comes with a multi-position collapsing stock or a full stock but is wired to the front. The Elite Force HK MP5SD6 has a proprietary mount for the mock suppressor that cannot be swapped for other types."
