On the road to SHOT Show 2023, Unity Tactical, a company familiar to the airsoft community through the licensed products made by PTS Syndicate, announce that their Axon line of remote switches will be on display for potential customers and business partners to take a look at for themselves.

There are two editions: Axon Standard and Axon SL, a more compact switch are made of high impact polymer. With the Standard, there are two buttons to control laser and light devices that are mounted on the weapon’s rail systems with the angled button for weaponlight use while the second button supports the laser’s double-click-for-constant-on feature. The SL is a single button switch for those who prefer a more compact remote switch. The standard buttons provide different tactile feel for the operator to easily distinguish which device is being operated on without having to take a look and maintain eyes on the target, especially in dark and high stress conditions.

In terms of operation, there are two models for both editions: the Standard/Non-SYNC and the Standard/SYNC which are dual lead that fires both light and laser simultaneously. These can be mounted using the M1913 rail and there is an optional mounting kit for M-Lok rails. The cable length for the standard configuration is 7 inches.

The Unity Tactical Axon is compatible with SureFire, NATO Crace-Spec Port, NGAL (LA-23/PEQ), and other variations available upon request with MOQ. The cable length can be customized request with MOQ. Pricing ranges from US$154.00 to US$299.00 with the optional Axon M-Lok Mounting Kit a US$14.00. Color options are Black and FDE.

Unity Tactical Launches New Line of Modular Electronic Switches

Dual Button AXON™ and Single Button AXON™ SL bring ergonomically correct activation angles in smaller footprints

BROUSSARD, LA. (Jan. 10, 2023) – UNITY™ Tactical, a leading innovation and design company for the tactical community, announced today the launch of its newest line of modular electronic switches: AXON™. The AXON line launches with a dual button option – AXON – and a single button option – AXON SL.

AXON allows lights and lasers to fire from individual buttons with versions available for popular issued devices. With one 45-degree angled button and one flat button, its unique design provides tactile differentiation between the two buttons to eliminate confusion in dark, cold and high-stress situations. At only 2.70 inches in length, AXON has the smallest footprint of any dual button switch on the market, taking up less space on the M1913 or M-LOK® rail.

AXON’s light (angled) button features a switch that allows for both momentary and constant activation, while the laser button features a momentary-only button that supports the laser’s double-click-for-constant-on feature. Standard AXON models feature each button firing devices independently. SYNC models fire the laser independently, while the light button will fire both light and laser simultaneously. NGAL variants operate in a SYNC capacity but offer a visible override feature for light and laser.

AXON SL is the even smaller, single button switch in the AXON family. Like AXON’s light button, its 45-degree angled button face provides an ergonomically correct activation angle, making it easy to index under stress, while wearing PPE or facing extreme environmental conditions.

The mechanical switch design allows weapon light models to fire in both momentary and constant-on modes in a familiar click tailcap design. Laser versions utilize a momentary only switch to facilitate use with the native double tap for constant feature found in most common lasers on the market. Dual lead variants are SYNC, firing both light and laser simultaneously.
