Staccato, famous for its high-performance 2011 pistols, has recently introduced the HD series, a new line of firearms engineered with a relentless focus on durability, performance, and user comfort. The Staccato HD pistols are said to be built to withstand the rigorous demands of elite military and law enforcement professionals.
The company puts these pistols through rigorous testing to ensure they can withstand the harshest conditions. Extensive mechanical endurance testing, coupled with rigorous reliability assessments, guarantees flawless performance even in the most demanding environments. These pistols are designed to be impervious to the elements, making them ideal for duty use in any climate.
Prioritizing user comfort and versatility in the HD series these handguns feature a fully ambidextrous design with dual-sided safety and slide stop levers, mirrored thumb index points, and a reversible magazine catch. This allows for seamless operation by both right- and left-handed shooters. Furthermore, a narrower grip and a higher beavertail contribute to a more comfortable and consistent shooting experience.

A key innovation in the HD series is the new HOST (Handgun Optic Mounting System). This system allows for the direct mounting of popular optics to the slide, eliminating the need for separate plates and enhancing both security and accuracy. By positioning the rear iron sight in front of the optic, the HOST system minimizes the risk of ejected brass interfering with the sight picture.

For user convenience, Staccato designed the HD pistols to be compatible with widely available and cost-effective Glock-pattern magazines. This helps in easy access to magazines and simplifies maintenance for users. Each pistol comes standard with two 18-round heat-treated carbon steel magazines featuring an anti-friction black coating.
In terms of safety, the HD pistols incorporate an active firing pin block, significantly enhancing safety in demanding situations. Aggressive "wrap-over" slide serrations and support-thumb index points further improve usability and control, even under stress.

The HD series offers two distinct models: the P4 with a 4-inch barrel and the P4.5 with a 4.5-inch barrel. The P4 provides a balance of accuracy, concealability, and versatility, making it an ideal choice for both duty and carry applications. The P4.5, with its extended barrel, offers enhanced stability and performance, catering to users who prioritize these aspects.

Designed with direct input from elite professionals, these pistols are said to embody the highest standards of performance and reliability. The HD series builds upon Staccato's legacy of excellence while incorporating cutting-edge technology and innovative design solutions.
Are the HD series a testament to Staccato's unwavering commitment to producing the finest shooting handguns in the world? We’ll find out from those who get to own the series, and we are looking to licensed airsoft versions too.
