The new ROMEO-X red dot gun sight series from SIG Sauer is a powerful optic that can handle the harsh conditions of combat. The optic has a clear and wide 24-millimeter window made of aspheric glass that prevents distortion. It also has an advanced system for adjusting the sight to different ranges and targets. The ROMEO-X lets operators select from 15 levels of brightness to suit any daytime or nighttime mission.

The ROMEO-X red dots come in two sizes: the ROMEO-X Compact and the ROMEO-X Pro. The Compact is cut to fit micro-compact pistols with the Shield RMSc footprint, while the Pro is cut to fit DeltaPoint Pro footprints. Both dots feature a distortion-free aspheric glass with a patent-pending Beryllium Copper flexure-arm adjustment system, in 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum housing with machined anti-reflection grooves on shooter facing surfaces.

The reticle on the ROMEO-X has a 2 MOA dot and a 32 MOA circle, 15 brightness settings including night vision settings, and a side-mounted CR1632 battery compartment with a threaded battery cap. Additionally, the ROMEO-X Series offers a low deck height for standard-height iron sight co-witness, has a minimum continuous runtime of 20,000 hours at medium brightness setting and utilizes MOTAC™ (Motion Activated Illumination), MAGNETAC™ (Magnetic Activation), and   
D.A.R.C™ (Dark Adaptive Reticles & Coatings) technologies.

There are two types of ROMEO-X red dot sight: the ROMEO-X Compact for small pistols like the micro-compact ones and the ROMEO-X Pro for bigger pistols such as the P320. The compact model fits the SHIELD Reflex Mini-Sight Compact mount, while the pro model fits the DeltaPoint Pro mount. The compact model is 41 millimeters (1.6 inches) long and 31 millimeters (1.22 inches) wide. The pro model is 46 millimeters (1.8 inches) long and 32.7 millimeters (1.28 inches) wide.
