Here Is What Visitors Can Experience At The Tokyo Marui Festival 2023 This Weekend
11 Nov 2023
The Tokyo Marui Airsoft Festival is back after a four-year hiatus. This event is a must-see for airsoft enthusiasts, as it features new product announcements, various exhibitions, test firing experiences, and more. The weather is chilly and windy, with autumn leaves flying around the venue. The company advises visitors to dress warmly, as the maximum temperature today is only about 15 degrees Celsius.
However, the wind also affects some of the activities at the festival. The “Shooting Experience Corner” will open later than planned, as the wind may interfere with the accuracy of the BBs. The “Demonstration Corner” has been canceled for both days, as there is a risk of the displayed items falling over. The company apologizes for the inconvenience and asks for the visitors’ understanding. The “VR Survival Game Experience Corner” will also open later, as the equipment needs to be checked for proper functioning.
When visitors enter the venue, they will be asked to fill out a survey form and receive some Tokyo Marui stickers as a gift. The venue has two areas: one for ages 18 and over, and one for ages 10 and up. Visitors under 18 are not allowed to enter the 18+ area, so please be mindful of this.
One of the highlights of the festival is the “New Product Corner”, where visitors can vote for their favorite handgun from a panel of images. There is also an online voting page for those who cannot attend the event. Some of the new products are also available for touching, but not for operating, as they are still in development.
Another attraction is the “Exhibition & Experience Corner”, where a large number of airsoft guns are displayed on the wall. Visitors can touch them freely and ask questions to the staff. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the features and specifications of the products.
For those who want to buy some souvenirs, the “Product Sales Corner” offers original Tokyo Marui merchandise. There are various goods, such as T-shirts, key chains, patches, and more. However, the stock is limited, so sales will end when the items run out.
The “VR Survival Game Experience Corner” is a fun and immersive activity, where visitors can play a 2 vs 2 flag battle game. The goal is to grab the flag in the center and bring it to your own base. Tickets are required to participate, and they are distributed at certain times. Visitors who are prone to VR sickness are advised to take motion sickness medicine before playing.
If you want to have some fun with the latest airsoft guns, come to the “Shooting Experience Corner” and try them out for yourself. Our staff will help you get ready and provide you with goggles for your safety. You can choose from the new MP5A4 NGRS, P90+ AEG, and G17 Gen5 MOS Gas Blowback Pistol, but only if you are 18 or older. If you are 10 or older, you can also try the M4A1 R, which is suitable for 14 and up, but don’t worry, our staff will handle the tricky parts for you. And as a bonus, you will get a free original towel when you try the airsoft guns.
The festival also features some exclusive illustrations of girls and airsoft guns, drawn by famous artists such as Emizu, Ryo Furube, Seven Six, Mild Steel, Bocchanai, and Hiroji Mishima. These illustrations are only available at the venue, so don’t miss them.
Later on, we will report on the new products that will be announced at the festival, such as the SAIGA-12 SBS Gas Blowback Shotgun, G36C+ AEG, Lycoris Recoil GBB Pistol, and Tokyo Marui White D.O.R. GBB Pistol. Stay tuned for more updates.
