It's also our way of saying thanks to our partner retailers who have been very much supportive of Popular Airsoft.
This is a fantastic treat to Popular Airsoft readers. If you buy from GunFire, you'll be able to get a 10% discount on all products being sold there. This is especially a great thing for our readers from the European Union as they comprise around 46% of our total readership, and that's translated roughly to 23,000 readers per month. Now that's a lot of airsoft readers.
Sorry folks for the delay. We have a new layout artist and we're trying to make some changes to the layout so hence the delay. This time we have a female layout artist so you'll notice some feminine touch to it. We hope you'll like it. Also some issues with net connections, as we work as a virtual team spread-out in three continents. But still no excuse for us, or else we'll have to show our bums at the grocery store.
Finally, it's in! The Winners if the Popular Airsoft Magazine Promo Winners. We would like to thank all those who have availed of the 1-year subscription of the magazine. Arnold Woodruff bags the Systema Engineering M4A1 PTW 2008 Model!
If the M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) replicas last year got us talking, this one will make us more on our toes. I am looking forward to the day that airsoft makers fabricate the Fulton Armory M14 SOPMOD Systems, even just a conversion kit. This is actually a collaboration of Fulton Armory and Troy Industries and resulted into the Modular Combat Rifle that is comprised of different configurations for designated marksman role (DMR), close quarters, and for sniper roles. I like the look of the MCR and just wishing that they're lighter than the M14 EBR.
Does the M4A1 really need an introduction? Maybe not, but since some of the readers may have been born when the carbine was adopted, a briefing may be in order. The M4A1 is a self-loading select-fire carbine variant of the M16 rifle, both based on the AR-15 archetype developed by Eugene Stoner in the 50's. Ever since the first M16 was brought into service, the rifle has been updated to improve on the original design.
Time now to grab another entry from Wikipedia to post here. Now, I am posting an entry on the Glock line of pistols, made by Glock GmbH, the Austrian company established by Gaston Glock. These are known for sporting polymer-frames which some claim you can put a Glock pistol through a metal detector and it won't be detected, but as far as I know, it remains to be proven and it remains to be an urban legend.
Listen up troops! This time ditch the Nintendo Wii that you use for your Red Steel Game. If you think that you don't have a good reason to buy the Sony Playstation 3 because of its hefty price, now you've got one. The Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots is coming out in June 2008. One of the best games of all time, and only for just the Playstation series, Metal Gear is given the perfect scores by testers and games journalists from all over.
Well, well, we have the upcoming King Arms, the British L1A1 SLR (Self Loading Rifle). This arrived at our doorstep over a week ago and we've been testing and taking it down slowly by our gunsmith, Bulletproofmike, who seems to have fallen in love it with it and we might have to pry it off his hands. What we can tell is that it's solidly built, and more, it has an electric blowback function which seems to be the in thing this year as more and more replicas are slowly going to have this feature.
