WebSighting: 1st S.W.O.R.D.

I'm back again with my WebsSighting series after almost three months of not looking around for airsoft team sites in the web. This time, I am unashameably copying from 1st Special Warfare Operations and Recon Detachment (1st S.W.O.R.D.) --- Team Sword is a group of MilSim event players, helping to promote Airsoft in the South Puget Sound region.

Dear Airsoft Manufacturers...

Dear Airsoft Manufacturers, especially from the Far East. I am making a wishlist of items that you might want to consider in planning for your new product line up. This list is a  result of my conversations with other players and we hope you will hear us out, and ponder upon our requests. We know that it will take time for you to make these, but we're willing to wait as long as it will not take forever and within our lifetimes, hehehe. Though the list is short, some may just want to add to this list in the comments section.

RS Wiki: AR-15

Now, another round of for lazy ventures into the Wikipedia world, and this time it's about the AR-15. I have some preconceived notions on what the AR-15 is about, and I just think of it as a civilian version of the Colt M16. But I was surprised that there is a great deal of difference, from its name designation, configuration, history, and variants.

The Art of Taking Hits

HIT!!! I’M OUT!!! DEAD MAN COMING THROUGH!!! I could not remember the exact number of times that I have shouted these words every month on the skirmish field. On my first day of Airsoft I was eliminated in the first 10 minutes of the game. But that was okay because all I had to do was to take a short walk to the regeneration point and, like in those video games, I’m back in the thick of the fight again.

RS Wiki: Lee-Enfield Rifle

Another round for me now to come up with an RS Wiki. As always, I have to get from Wikipedia for another entry on real steel guns that are or have not yet been converted into airsoft replicas. This one will be a favourite among reenactors as it saw action in many wars, including the Great War (World War I) and World War II. The Lee-Enfield does the British proud, as it has faithfully served in keeping the British Empire together over the modern years.

Book Review: Paintball and Airsoft Battle Tactics

Reprinted from the Popular Airsoft Magazine May 2008 issue. Paintball and Airsoft Battle Tactics is Christopher Larsen's latest book that helps translate small-unit battle tactics to paintball and airsoft, derived mainly from his previous book, “Light Infantry Tactics: Small Teams”. The latter book is already  a must read book for many airsoft players worldwide.
