The Dutch Open 2017 International Practical Shooting Event 11-12 November

Another exciting event in airsoft practical shooting is soon to take place again late this year. The Dutch Open 2017 will take place on the 11th to the 12th of November at the NABV National Airsoft Centre in Geldermalsen. The competition will finally take place at the home of Dutch airsoft, moving from the Papendal National Sports Centrum in Arnhem where it was held in the past two years.

One of the bigger airsoft practical shooting events in Europe, the Dutch Open will be on its third year offering 24 stages in 4 zones comprised of 12 short stages, 8 medium and 4 long stages.

As the event is fast approaching so interested shooters must now register at the Shoot `n Score It website. The match will have a maximum of 120 shooters for them main match and with just a few slots remaining. A pre-match will have 24 shooters, mainly Range Officers who will be officiating the match for the next two days.

Looking at the list of shooters who have already registered, they represent countries from Belgium, Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Slovakia, and Spain. Of course, the Dutch are very much well represented in this event as they will comprise the main bulk of shooters.

According to the organizers, shooters who live outside of the Netherlands will need to get the exemption form that they will need to fill up in accordance with Article 17e of Dutch Gun Regulations. This will allow them to be able to play airsoft in the Netherlands in the days mentioned and that they should carry the exemption papers at all times whilst in the country, especially when they are transporting airsoft guns.
