It’s time to prepare to upgrade your gaming rigs folks as the ultimate test for PC gaming rigs performance under extreme stress is now in the development and was much talked about airsoft players who are much into first person shooter games. According to Crytek, the developers behind the Crysis first person shooter game, has finally announced the Crysis 4 is now on its early stages of development.
When Crysis was first released in 2007, even the most powerful gaming PCs buckled. Even Optimus Prime said that even Alienware rigs crashed. But the game was a hit that even PC makers and video card companies are happy that players had to buy the expensive and powerful upgrades just to play this game.
The first two Crysis titles, Crysis and Crysis Warhead are set in 2020 on a fictitious Lingshan Island located off the Philippines. A team U.S. special forces team called “Raptor Team” which has Nomad, Psycho, and Prophet as members, was sent to check the North Koreans operating on the island. The team is equipped with high tech gear such as nanosuits, which are highpowered exoskeletons that gives them special abilities such as being bullet proof, superhuman strength, speed, and invisibility with the cloaking feature.
Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are set in New York City in which residents became infected with an unknown virus. The protagonist this time is a U.S. Marine named Alcatraz that is equipped with a Nanosuit 2 from Prophet. New York City becomes encased in a Nanodome as a quarantine measure, eventually, Prophet finds out the reason why.
Crysis 4 as announced, is a working title since way back in 2012, the former Crytek CEO said that even a Crysis 4 is ever to be made, it will not be called Crysis 4. So far, no story has been announced that will lay the groundwork for the development of the game.
Nevertheless, for fans of Crysis, this is a welcome development since it is almost a decade since the last title was released. But players are forewarned it that they may need powerful rigs as based on earlier experience.
We’re putting the full blogpost as posted by Avni Yerli, Crytek’s present CEO:
