For those who waited for the release of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on its own, the day has come. Many of those who were not exactly enamored in getting Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare but wanted to play the Remastered version of one of the best selling COD titles and decided to wait for it to be unbundled can now finally get the standalone version.

10 years since it was first released, Modern Warfare captured the interests of millions of gamers, airsoft players included. The Modern Warfare will be initially released for the Sony Playstation 4 console and there are no release dates yet for the Xbox One and Windows PC.

The single player campaign which I have played many times over will be included in the release as well as the 16 maps for the multiplayer mode. A Variety Map Pack which will contain a 4 multiplayer maps as well a 10 rare supply drops will be made available separately for US$15:

The Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered includes four remastered multiplayer maps from the original game, plus 10 Rare Supply Drops.

Re-experience some of the most epic maps in Modern Warfare history, including Creek, a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death; Broadcast, an enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots; Chinatown, a foggy downtown district, lit by a full moon and the neon glow of the city; and Killhouse, a tiny warehouse for maximum close-quarters chaos.

To celebrate the release of the Modern Warfare Remastered Standalone release, a seasonal event called Call of Duty “Days of Summer” will take place. Players can compete in this five-week event and this will included new gear, a summer-theme map for the Remastered, give-aways, and XP events.

Playing the Remastered version will of course need more in terms of system requirements as compared to the original as it will have have to take opportunities of advances in digital graphic technology  that happened in the past 10 years.
