The Black Powder Red Earth (BPRE) is a graphic novel series by Jon Chang and Josh Taylor that started in 2011. The series follows contractors made of former operators and backed by Saudi petro dollars conduct operations against Iran's proxies in Basra and Syru, the story and artwork are highly acclaimed and the series continues to this day. For some of airsoft players that we know of, they have been faithfully following the releases, collecting the volumes.
