America's 'boy scouts' trained to fight terrorists and illegal border crossers

Gungho Cowboy

Is this going a little bit too far? You've got the American Boy Scouts being offered Counter-Terrorist training program or even anti-illegal immigration border patrol. Called the "Explorer's Program" the members of the Boys Scouts of America being put through such a training. At such a young age, do you think that this is just too early for them to earn the ropes? Personally, I am kinda uncomfortable with this types of programs remembering the Nazi Youth paramilitary approach. See in the photo in the story that they use airsoft guns in this type of training. I still prefer camping, first aid, sharing jokes at a camp fire, leadership skills and just meeting new friends. I would like this program just restricted to adults rather than the Boy Scouts.

Just imagine the thought of a Girl Scout knocking on your door selling cookies and what she has learned from the Scouting movement. Might as well give her your wallet just to shoo her away.

An educational program in America is equipping teenage boys and girls with the skills to chase down illegal border crossers and the more dangerous situation of taking out a terrorist.

The Explorers program, which is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, is putting thousands of young people through intense training in a simulated environment.

In one training module, eight boys and girls - the youngest 14 - face a tripwire, a thin cloud of poisonous gas and loud shots.
