In commemoration of the 246th Independence Day of the USA on the fourth of July, Luminox announced the release of the Navy Seal Foundation, 45 mm (XS.3251.CBNSF.SET) watch. The 2022 release sports a desert sand watch face.

Founded in 1989 and based in San Rafael, California, Luminox was makes branded watches for the various service branches of the U.S. military and these watches are high-end Swiss Made ones. Over time the company has branched out to the civilian market and also makes signature watches such as those bearing of the celebrity Bear Grylls, who himself is an SAS veteran.

Luminox is the preferred timepiece for special operations units. Luminox is especially well-known for its close cooperation with the U.S. Navy SEALs, making watches for the elite unit since 1992 and releasing the first watch for the Navy SEAL Foundation in 2020.

The Luminox Navy Seal Foundation Watch sports a 45mm dial with 316L Stainless Steel, with crown protection steel watchcase and inside is the RONDA 715 LB395 quartz movement.  The bezel is Luminox’s own CARBONOX, an innovative carbon compound material that allow the company to produce watches with rigid and hard finishes. The Case Back is a Stainless Steel screw with the NSF logo engraved. The crystal is Sapphire with anti-reflective coating and to complete the watch is black rubber strap.

You couldn’t call a watch a Luminox watch without it’s “Always Visible” tech which provides constant glow for up to 25 years in any light condition. This is done by the use of Tritium inserts that make the luminous areas long lasting.
