Entry Level Tactical Lighting with Inforce

I am always happy if I see other brands next to Surefire lights on the shelf. Every now and then there is one with a better price tag, better performance or better looks. Last time I’ve seen something close to a SF light was the Pentagonlight tactical series but now I will talk about a new challenger on the field of entry level tactical lights.

Modern War Gear Solid Act 2: Sun Burn

Ghost and Solid Snake get back to the ActivistSun lair on their own personal missions: Ghost to learn what happened to his mates from Infinity War and Solid Snake on the whereabouts of the Modern Gear. As they make through the compound, they eventually have to face their nightmares, though this gets mixed up. Solid Snake confronts Makarov and Ghost gets into a rough situation with Liquid Snake (which should have been the other way around, right?).

Cyber-G Watch: A 6-Part Cybergun Report

Before making any reactions to what Thumpy's posting about Cybergun, we admonish that everything that he has reported online should be read carefully, careless comments do not make you a smart person. It's more of making you a dumb ass. Always the bane of websites with comments features, commenters who do not have a clue on what is being discussed, are often wished that their computers fry.

Leaks Turn Into a Torrent: The Afghan War Documents

Wikileaks released last Sunday over 90,000 military documents covering US and NATO actions in Afghanistan from 2004 up to 2009. It is a dump and for us here at Popular Airsoft making sense of it all would entail more time, resources and the even more important expert resources as we are no experts in these matters.

Photos from the War and Peace Show 2010

The War and Peace Show just concluded yesterday and the next one's scheduled for the 20th to the 24th of July 2011. We were there Saturday, 24 July, and I was happy to be accompanied by Major Problem of ACE Brigade Wolf Pack. We arrived rather late, a little bit past 1300H and looking for parking spaces was tough. We arrived hungry but determined to make the most of the day.

Shell Ejecting M4A1 Blowback AEG Spotted

Finally! Something new to write about after being bombarded with news of the Magpul PTS Masada AEG. We haven't heard for ages about Top Airsoft Japan since their last product that we know of is their M249 SAW. Well, they may have been stucked in their lab planning for something that we might all welcome and they do have one which may just come out very soon: a shell-ejecting full metal M4A1 electric blowback AEG!

I Have A Need, A Need For Speed...

...and I decided to build it with the Cyclone Dual Sector Gear. The high FPS tuning (what I usually do) doesn't require too much skills but on the other hand high and extreme speed involves a little bit more thinking. For this story I would discuss more about this product and by next week present to you Danny, the mastermind of Siegetek Concepts, for the meantime I need to answer my need for speed.

COD MW2's Ghost + Metal Gear Solid Snake = FTW!

It seems that Ghost escaped death after being shot  by General Shepherd when his team from Tasks Force 141 raided Makarov's hideout to retrieve some vital intelligence in COD MW2. He has become disillussioned while working for ActivistSun, the PMC company left him alone and had other plans, and his mates were killed and Soap, Price and Nikolai are nowhere to be found. What Ghost then finds out that ActivistSun is now branded a terrorist organisation by the United Nations having joined Makarov, and FOXHOUND team leader, Liquid Snake/Ocelot.

The Incredible HULC Starts US Army Natick Testing

I wonder if the Chinese would soon replicate this for airsoft use, perhaps in 30 years' time when it's widely used in the battlefield or even commercial applications and the technology's price gets lower. But I'm getting ahead of the story. Lockheed Martin gets awarded by the US Army Natick Soldier Testing Center to start tests on their Human Universal Load Carrier exoskeleton (HULC) which would allow soldiers even greater load carrying capabilities without impeding their abilities to fight in the battlefield.

Marushin at the International Tokyo Toy Show 2010

Marushin displayed their wares during the International Tokyo Toy Show 2010 which was held last 15-18 July 2010. While these companies sported products that already in the airsoft market, there are still some products that you can look forward to. Hyperdouraku was there and gives us the report on what the company has to show us.
